OUR
SERVICES
Canine Hydrotherapy
Visit our heated 6m x 3m Canine Hydrotherapy pool (20ft x 10ft x 4ft deep). Hydrotherapy is very beneficial for treating dogs with health and mobility problems and has been proven as a valuable aid to recovery following surgery, as well as building and toning muscle in show and agility dogs.
Hydro for fun and fitness
Does your dog simply seem to have too much energy? Are you unable to give them the exercise they need? Keep your dog fit while having fun with a hydro session. With poor ground conditions in the winter, hydrotherapy can help keep your dog at peak fitness; ideal for dogs who participate in agility, flyball and similar activities.
Hand stripping Groom
For dogs with guard coats, we offer a handstrip service to remove the guard coat instead of just shortening the length of the guard hairs with clippers. Not all dogs are comfortable with hand-stripping; if this proves to be the case, we will call you to discuss your preferences for grooming your dog.

ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Swimming provides low impact cardiovascular exercise where the dog does not bear any weight on joints, allowing the muscles to develop and fitness levels improve without damage. What results can I expect to see? After the first session, your dog may be a little tired, but with regular sessions over a period of time, you will see improved suppleness, mobility, increased muscle tone and fitness.
WILL MY DOG BE SAFE?
Absolutely. Your dog will always wear a buoyancy aid when in the pool, will swim without other dogs and will always be fully supervised. We are first aid trained and have a pet first aid box on the premises at all times.
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
Each session is up to 30 minutes, with up to 20 minutes swimming time: the dog will start with a shorter swim time and gradually build-up to the maximum. Your dog will be rinsed off with warm water and blown dried to remove excess water (if your dog does not like the blow drier, they will be towelled down after showering)
WHY LIMIT THE SESSION LENGTHS?
Short, regular exercise is more beneficial to your dog. There is no advantage to exhausting your dog.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY DOG SWIM?
This will depend on your dog’s condition and level of fitness. It is recommended that the dog swims twice a week to begin with, reducing to once a week or once a fortnight as your dog’s condition and fitness levels improve.
Call 01743 719 555 or email us. For your first appointment please bring your vet referral form (completed by your vet) and up to date pet vaccination certificate or pet passport.
WHAT CHEMICALS ARE USED IN THE WATER?
Some chemicals must be used to ensure the quality of the water remains safe for both dogs and humans. Only bromine and PH balancer are added to the water. Water testing is carried out three times a day to ensure the right levels of chemicals are used to neutralise germs and bacteria in the water.
IS HYDROTHERAPY COVERED BY MY DOG'S PET INSURACE POLICY?
Many pet insures will fund hydrotherapy , but you are advised to check with your insurers.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Please ask for our latest prices. Discounts apply for block bookings and for second and subsequent dogs.
